Julie Luciani
As registered occupational therapist, Julie Luciani has used Yoga as a healing modality with her patients in rehabilitation and in the home. Since 2017, her work has focused her on developing therapeutic yoga programs in senior centers and teaching the principles of breathing, movement and meditation in her classes.
Julie’s expertise in anatomy and sequencing allows for classes that are gentle but strengthening, dynamic but grounding. There is a strong focus on mindfulness, strength, balance and learning to move with ease and grace.
Julie is a certified 500 hour Kripalu yoga instructor, currently pursuing a 1000 hour certification through the Kripalu School of Yoga and Ayurveda. She has additional certifications in Accessible yoga, Kripalu yoga in the Schools and Yoga for Healthy Aging.
When she is not teaching, Julie enjoys hiking with her dog, organic gardening and traveling with her 5 children and 3 grandchildren.
